HOLY ASSEMBLY

CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST

Our Pastor and Wife

Holy Assembly Church of God in Christ was founded in 1924 by Elder James and Margret Jackson in Pasadena, CA. Bishop Christopher E. Milton is the current and fourth pastor in a rich legacy of pastoral leadership supported by his lovely wife First Lady Tonya Milton.  Bishop Milton is a God-fearing man who is anointed and gifted in preaching, teaching, prophecy, and service. He succeeded Bishop Floyd J. Goodman as senior pastor of Holy Assembly in January 2006. His vision for the church is strength and unity, both as individuals and the Church, to stand in the storms of life and thrive in the knowledge and love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bishop Milton is also the Prelate of the Southern California Evangelistic Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.

Bishop Milton was born in Tacoma, Washington. As a youth, he attended the Greater Joy Church of God in Christ. He was called by God and served in various youth ministries including YPWW, and choir.  He moved to the Los Angeles when he was 20 and joined Holy Assembly under Bishop Goodman where he continued to serve and was ordained. He met First Lady Tonya Milton in Washington while she was attending the University of Washington. Since her hometown was Pasadena, California and she was already a member of Holy Assembly, it was clear that God had predestined their meeting and future together. She is a tremendous woman of God who is a dynamic speaker and visionary in her own right.

Bishop Milton and First Lady Milton were married in June 1992 and have 4 children, Jasmine, Andrew, and twins Ashleey and Ashlynne.
